toronto just banned the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores which i think is a great idea cause it’ll cut down on the profits of puppy mills and shit but my favorite thing is at the end of the article in the Toronto Star, it said that opponents of the law think people will just go to the suburbs outside of Toronto to get their animals. which becomes an argument that the social contract that binds us into our comfortable lives is about as strong as the human desire for puppies.

Soldiers in Belarus found a little squirrel and brought it to the Warrant officer. The squirrel was very weak and about to die, so the officer took care of it and fed it like a baby every four hours.
Three months ago the guy left the army and now works as a taxi driver and the squirrel is always in his pocket no matter where he goes!
